Blue day. Roasting hot. Tasked around the most stupid amount of airspace ever. Still, everyone else had the same issues. Went early, but really struggled to lose the little ships. Flew with J15 (Nimbus 3), S22 (ASW22), Ventus 2 and C66 for a lot of the flight. Just pushing on and climbing whenever a thermal was hit. Had a great view of Bath, could even see my kitchen window at one point. Staggered up to Nympsfield and got a fairly good climb there. Got to the turn at best glide, finally dropping the 2 smaller gliders (I had already been dropped by the other 2) but caught J15 at the turn. Headed for home, and found nothing much there. Took a climb at Enstone to 2000ft above glide. I still have no idea why. Lack of faith in the glider? Finally phsyced out? Difficult to say, but was so high at the finish it was actually embarrassing. Half the field landed out though so pleased to be home.
